Program Description:
This course introduces employees of financial institutions to the Bank Secrecy Act and the reporting responsibilities that come with it. Students will learn to complete and submit required Bank Secrecy Act reports, including the most recent versions of the Currency Transaction Report (FinCEN Form 104) and the Suspicious Activity Report (effective January 1, 2004). Students will learn the timeframes and procedures for maintaining Bank Secrecy Act reports and how to respond appropriately to client questions about Bank Secrecy Act reports.
After successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain what the Bank Secrecy Act is, and why it was create
- Describe the compliance programs required by the Bank Secrecy Act

Complete and submit required BSA reports, specifically Currency Transaction and Suspicious Activity reports

Explain to clients why Bank Secrecy Act reports are required
