Program Description:

This AIB course introduces students to the history, purpose and coverage of the Fair Housing Act (FHA). Students will learn about the FHA prohibited bases of
discrimination, the requirements of the Equal Housing Lender Lobby Poster, and the Fair Housing logo. Students will also learn about FHA terminology and record keeping requirements.

After successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:

  • Explain the background and purpose of the Fair Housing Act
  • Describe the coverage of the Fair Housing Act
  • Explain the requirements of the Fair Housing Act
  • Describe the penalties for non-compliance with the Fair Housing Act
