Program Description:
This AIB course introduces participants to compliance
with Regulation Z, Truth in Lending. Students will
learn about the conditions that led to the enactment
of Regulation Z, and how to properly disclose the cost
of credit, and calculate and disclose a loan’s rescission
period. The course teaches students how to adhere to
the technical requirements of Regulation Z, including how to present required documentation and explain
terms in a way that clients will understand. The course
also covers how Regulation Z is enforced, and the
penalties for noncompliance with Regulation Z.
After successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:
- Discuss the purpose and history of Regulation Z
- Quote an annual percentage rate (APR)
- Present disclosure statements for different types of consumer credit
- Calculate and describe a rescission period
- Apply Regulation Z to specific banking job roles
Who Should Attend:
Any bank personnel who are involved in the consumer
lending process. General knowledge of consumer
lending functions is helpful.
