Program Description:
Traditional IRAs have been available since 1975 and continue to be revised and updated. Help your staff prepare for the questions and paperwork that will soon be upon them. Geared toward bank employees who have a basic understanding of IRAs, this seminar reiterates the important details of the various types of IRAs, highlights the concepts that cause the most confusion for bank customers, and discusses additions and revisions for 2006 and 2007.
What You Will Learn:
- Appropriate documentation for opening IRAs, including beneficiary issues
- Contribution limitations for particular IRAs, including Traditional, Roth, SEP, and SIMPLE IRAs
- Transfers and Rollovers-how to handle them properly
- Taking distributions-including the new distribution regulations from the IRS
- End of the year reporting issues for which the banks are responsible
- NEW in 2007- IRA rollover features into HSAs
Who Should Attend:
Any level of employee at a bank or other financial organization. If you work with IRAs, get updated about the new regulations and statutes issued in 2006.
