Commercial real estate construction financing is
frequently included in commercial real estate loan
requests and community bank commercial officers
should be trained and prepared to review and
underwrite these requests. This session is
designed to increase your understanding of one
of the most specialized loan classes in a portfolio.
Students will review the risks inherent in
Commercial Construction Lending; describe the
types of commercial construction loans; examine
underwriting factors for the borrower, project and
contractor; identify loan structure and loan
monitoring best practices.
