Please join us for a brand new two hour workshop on commercial real estate lending basics. This will be the first of three two hour workshops designed to provide the attendee with a working knowledge of commercial real estate lending. Taught by an experienced lending executive and adjunct professor at a major university.
This 2-Hour Webinar Covers:
- Discussion of the different types of property (collateral) and loan types
- Factors in assessing a commercial real estate loan from an underwriter's perspective
- Developing the cash flow model
- Lease analysis (time permitting)
Plus frequent question and answer sessions throughout this presentation.

Presenter:
Ronald M. Shapiro is Vice President with Union Center National Bank (“UCNB”), a $1 Billion commercial bank headquartered in Union, NJ. Prior to UCNB, Ron was Director of Lender Services with The Schonbraun McCann Group (“SMG”), a national real estate consulting and advisory firm. Prior to SMG, Mr. Shapiro was Director and Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager with Artesia Mortgage Capital Corporation (“Artesia”) originating real estate loans for securitization. Prior to Artesia, Ron was Senior Vice President and Senior Lending Officer at Spencer Savings Bank (“Spencer”) where he managed a $700 million loan portfolio and supervised a 40 person lending division. Before Spencer, Ron worked for Wachovia Corporation and Prudential Financial.
Mr. Shapiro received his MBA degree in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University and his undergraduate degree in Economics from SUNY at Stony Brook. He is a CPA and former Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU’s School of Continuing Education. Ron is a faculty member of Monmouth University’s Kislak Real Estate Institute where he teaches a real estate finance course. He is a frequent speaker and moderator at various real estate industry conferences and is a former Board of Governor of the NJ Mortgage Bankers Association.
