Program Description:

All financial institutions must have a written Code of Conduct or Ethics Policy, and all financial institutions must provide periodic training to assist their employees in distinguishing between acceptable and unacceptable business practices. This webinar will cover conflicts of interests, personal conduct and confidentiality.

This two-hour course covers:

  • Conflicts of Interest - other outside employment, receiving gifts or bequests from customers, making loans to benefit employee or affiliate, misuse of bank assets, misuse of bank position, personal transactions with bank
  • Personal Conduct - personal finances, community activities, political activities, illegal activities
  • Confidentiality - customer information, bank proprietary information, insider information

Plus, frequent question and answer sessions throughout this presentation.

This webcast seminar will be useful to any person involved in core banking operations, from tellers to the top. Each individual involved in core banking operation handles sensitive information on a daily basis. Accordingly, they should be equipped to handle the situations which they run into.

Presenter:

Adam LaBoda, Esq. is an attorney with Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP where he specializes in the representation of financial institutions.

Adam was awarded his juris doctor from the University of Kansas Law School. Prior to joining Spencer Fane, Adam served as a law clerk for Chief Judge Lee M. Jackwig, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Iowa. He is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Kansas Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Kansas and Missouri Bankers Associations, and the Kansas City Bankruptcy Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas, as well as the federal district courts in Kansas and the Western District of Missouri.
