Program Description:
With all of the IRA plan types, regulation changes and cost of living adjustments, an annual update and review of the more complicated aspects of Individual Retirement Accounts is a must. This two-hour course covers:
- What are the misinterpretations of the TIPRA Act 2005 and the Pension Protection Act 2006?
- What are the 2008 contribution limits and cost of living adjustments for Traditional, Roth and SEP IRAs?
- What is the difference between a Roth Conversion from a Traditional IRA vs. a Qualified Employer Plan?
- Are the spouse and nonspouse options the same when moving money from a QP to an IRA?
- What is the difference between a nonspouse beneficiary moving money from an employer plan to an IRA vs. an IRA to an IRA?
- How do we calculate distributions to beneficiaries in the year of IRA owner's death? ...the year after the IRA owner's death?
